There is so much emotion in Tattooed Scars (and Tattooed Emotions), I don’t know where to start. I cried. And  I’m a red-head so I’m not a pretty crier.

The choices Raelyn has to make in Tattooed Scars are unimaginable. Well, for me anyway. I know there are many people who have unfortunately faced the same gut wrenching decision. Selfishly, I hope I never have to make those kinds of decisions, but I hope I can approach them with the same kind of dignity Raelyn does.

Alicia Rae manages to convey so much depth in these stories. Yes, it’s a romance and there are steamy love scenes, but what sets this story apart from the many other romances out there with steamy love scenes at the moment is the humanity and realism Alicia manages to portray in her characters while still making them fantastically bigger than life.

We still haven’t gotten all of Damien’s back story. I can only imagine that proverbial sh*t is going to hit the fan in the next volume.

Yes, I’m once again annoyed that a story is being released in multiple volumes rather than one book.  While both Tattooed Emotions and Tattooed Scars are full length novels, I can’t help but think some editing and cutting could have been done to make this story one book. One rich, emotional, heart wrenching book.
