Now I can review the whole book!
I wasn’t sure about this book at first, I admit it. It was hard to review in segments (volumes) and I was somewhat disappointed with the first volume. HOWEVER, overall Bash is an intense, sexy read encompassing everything I love about MC and shifter stories. The third volume deals more heavily with the shifter element of the storyline. It opens with action and just keeps going to the very end.
Angelica proves once again that she is a match for Bash in every way and can hold her own. Bash struggles a little with her strength. Not that she’s strong and can handle herself, but what that means for how she sees him and his belief in himself. The emotional turmoil Ms. Blevins is able to convey is impressive in its simplicity. While I didn’t really agree with Bash’s assessment or his hangups, the explanation of why he felt that way was still well done.
The mystical elements of the shifter world are much more prominent in this volume (yay!!). Angelica and Bash come to a realization that can have very serious repercussions, both with the MC and the local Pack.
I love that the author drops teasers of what’s to come in the series while still (finally) providing closure to Angelica and Bash’s relationship. The happily ever after is hot and sweet and anything but final. I fully expect to see Angelica and Bash in the next installment!
