This BRADEN novella features Kat Martin, Brianna Heart’s best friend from HEARTS AT PLAY (The Bradens, #6) with appearances from the hot, wealthy, and wickedly naughty Bradens you know and love.
In DARING HER LOVE…
Kat Martin knows what she wants in a man—someone stable and adoring, definitely not the type of guy who sleeps around. After all, Kat rarely does the wrong thing—until she meets seductively enticing Eric James, and suddenly wrong has never felt so right.
When it comes to his career, race-car driver Eric James is intense, obsessive, and passionate, but when it comes to sex, there’s only one kind—daring, unbridled, and no-strings-attached.
One stormy night, a delayed flight and the dangerous allure of the unknown leads Kat to throw caution to the wind, and she indulges in a rendezvous that she vows to immediately forget—but the secret tryst stirs something possessive in Eric, and forgetting is not an option.
Daring Her Love is a fairy-tale of a romance that is both sweet and so, so sexy! The chemistry between Eric and Kat steams off the pages and theirs is an absolute whirl-wind romance. If you don’t enjoy romances where the hero and heroine fall in love in a matter of days, then this is not the book for you. But it’s a modern-day fairy-tale, so my best advice is get over it and read this book.
What makes it a tad bit more believable than the normal ‘love-at-first-sight’ romance is Eric and Kat are friends of friends – Hugh and Breanna do as much to push Eric and Kat together as their raging desire does. That and a hidden connection from their past.
Daring Her Love is a quick, easy romantic read for anyone in need of a sexy, happily ever after pick me up.
I am absolutely in love with these 1,001 Dark Night novellas! This is the second novella I’ve reviewed – both authors I might not have picked up otherwise. This is a great introduction to a new author and Melissa Foster definitely has a new fan. I can’t wait to catch up on the rest of the Bradens.
“I hope you don’t mind, but I ordered you a lemon-drop martini. I figured we could start over.”
He reached for her hand. “I hope to be with you long past tonight, and the story you tell your friends should be a bit more romantic than picking each other up in an airport lounge.”
Her heart skipped a beat. “That’s really thoughtful.”
“And a little selfish, I’m afraid. I’m sure you have guy friends, and I don’t want them picturing you doing naughty things with me in the men’s bathroom.”
She laughed. “I’d never tell anyone that.”
He arched a brow. “I have a feeling Brianna knows.”
She nibbled on her lower lip, and he used his free hand to draw her closer by the nape of her neck.
“That’s okay, darlin’. I was kidding. I just want you to have a story you’re proud to tell, not one that makes you wonder if you made a mistake.”
“Thank you.” She leaned forward and pressed her lips to his.
He deepened the kiss, sliding his knee between her legs and moving closer. The press of his lips sent a rush of heat through her. She’d been dying to kiss him all evening, and now, with the crashing of the waterfall just beyond the glass and shadows dancing in their private candlelit room, she took her fill. His tongue swept over every dip of her mouth, over her teeth, and then he pulled back and slicked it over her lower lip, leaving her breathing hard and moving hungrily in for more. She wound her arms around his neck, and their mouths came together hard and fast. His hands slid to her hips, holding her there, burning right through her clothing. She wanted to move from her chair to straddle his lap and let their bodies decide where to go next, but the sound of footsteps brought her mind back to reality, and she moved away with a whimper of loss.
His hand slid from her hip, down her forearm, and his fingers laced with hers, as if he, too, couldn’t stand losing the connection.
