Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club Bash Vol I

What do you get when you mix a bad-ass werewolf biker with a beautiful she-wolf who grew up as the MC President’s daughter?
Sparks.
The Bash trilogy…
Angelica was raised not only as a biker’s daughter but as Bud’s daughter — the president of the Atlanta RTMC, which meant she also had dozens of ‘uncles’ who made sure she was safe, happy, loved, secure. Needless to say, her virginity was still solidly intact when she left for college, though not for long, once she was out from under her dad’s influence.
She’s a different person when she comes home with her Master’s degree, and in spite of her intention to remain a civilian, some of the bikers don’t seem so much like uncles, anymore.
The Chattanooga Rolling Thunder chapter welcomes her to town when she moves there for her dream job, but things get rocky when Angelica starts dating the District Attorney.
Throw in problems with a rival gang, a hot FBI agent, some dirty cops, and her old friendship with Bash — and Angelica has her hands full, and then some.
Warning: Blazing hot sex, a touch of BDSM, tons of raw kink, and some unconventional ménage play along with danger, intrigue, and an abundance of bad-ass werewolf bikers who are used to getting their way.

H-O-T, HOT!! Let’s just start with I’m liking what I’ve read so far, but there are few things that are bothering me.
The first actually has nothing to do with the story – releasing a full length book in three “volumes” when it could very easily be one full-length book. I’m not sure who makes this decision, but as a reader it’s really starting to get old (it’s not just this author – a few of my favorites have done so as well). Just release one book. True, I’m receiving this as part of a promotional blog tour and I didn’t pay for it, but if it annoyed me (and I received it for free) then it’s going to annoy other readers as well.
Now onto the book. I was all sorts of excited when I read the blurb and realized this was a book with both MC and shifter hooks. Sign me up! The MC hook is more prominent than the shifter hook, so for those of you hoping for more shifter, keep that in mind.
I expected more sexual tension between Bash and Angelica when she finally comes back to town. Both characters’ narratives start off by not wanting to get involved with the other person for various reasons: he/she doesn’t want to mess up their friendship, he/she doesn’t want to cause issues with the club, he/she doesn’t want a relationship, and he/she is worried about what Angelica’s dad is going to do. There should be all sorts of sexual tension between them, but I never got a sense of it other than each character talking about it in their personal narrative. Then they have a conversation about hooking up, then they hook up, then they’re in love, and they’re over most of the issues they both had.
Those problems aside, I’ve enjoyed the story so far. I dove right into Vol II (‘cause I can). Like I said…H-O-T, HOT! Theres some D/s, spanking, M/F/M situations, so it goes beyond just rough & tumble biker sex. There are some interesting subplots with Angelica’s previous involvement with the District Attorney and a rival gang, so there is more going on than just Bash and Angelica.
Bash is book three of the Rolling Thunder MC series, but it’s been easy to read as a stand alone so far. There’s some allusion to Duke’s and Brain’s stories, but not so much that I’ve been lost. While it might be worth waiting to see if the author re-releases Bash as one book (for a lower price), this is definitely one to add to your TBR list.
