Blurb
The New York Times bestselling author of Reaper’s Stand is back in her “uber-alpha rough world of MCs”* as one woman’s future is rocked by the man whose hardcore past could destroy her…
He never meant to hurt her.
Levi “Painter” Brooks was nothing before he joined the Reapers motorcycle club. The day he patched in, they became his brothers and his life. All they asked in return was a strong arm and unconditional loyalty—a loyalty that’s tested when he’s caught and sentenced to prison for a crime committed on their behalf.
Melanie Tucker may have had a rough start, but along the way she’s learned to fight for her future. She’s escaped from hell and started a new life, yet every night she dreams of a biker whose touch she can’t forget. It all started out so innocently—just a series of letters to a lonely man in prison. Friendly. Harmless. Safe.
Now Painter Brooks is coming home… and Melanie’s about to learn that there’s no room for innocence in the Reapers MC.

My Take
I pre-ordered Reaper’s Fall waayyy long ago – before I started blogging and I have been waiting forEVER for it to be released! Thankfully, my wait is OVER!
Melanie starts writing Painter while he’s in prison, doing time for his club (Reaper’s Stand). It’s sweet and innocent, at least on her side. Painter is anything but sweet and innocent and he does his best to avoid Melanie when he gets let out of prison. Melanie’s friends do their best to warn her away from Painter – he’s a man-whore and will only break her heart.
But of course, this is a romance, so that’s not going to happen.
“She was different. Special. Just touching her felt better than f-ing anyone else, and I didn’t want to settle.”
Reaper’s Fall takes place over the course of five years. Although Melanie and Painter try (briefly) to keep it in the friend zone they can’t keep it there. One super hot, sensual body painting scene is all it takes for their walls and barriers to fall.
“The lines of green twisted across her body, spattered with flowers that bloomed and faded in a pattern I wished I could keep forever.
No, I wanted to keep her forever.”
Despite his bad-boy, man-whore way, Painter falls in love with Melanie. And what’s better than a bad-boy, man-whore? A reformed bad-boy, man-whore. One who has the balls to admit he’s willing to hand them over to a woman.
“I’d fallen in love with Melanie Tucker.”
“This was deep, almost painful in its unholy intensity.”
It can’t be all smooth sailing, though. He is after all a biker. In a moment when Melanie needs him the most, needs him to pick her and put her first, he chooses his club. Melanie can’t forgive him and boy can she hold a mean grudge.
For all her seemingly sweet innocence, Mel has a backbone and makes it very clear to Painter what his role in her life will be. When she crosses a line Painter set, he takes control – of Melanie and their relationship. Not that she’s complaining…
“I wanted him.
No, I needed him. Inside Me. Over me. Filling me and hurting me and keeping me safe, because my body had decided I belong to him, even if my mind thought that was complete and utter shit.”
Reaper’s Fall is everything I wanted and have come to expect from Joanna Wylde. Gritty, emotional, raw, sweet, and sexy as hell. If you haven’t read any of the Reapers series, you don’t know what you’re missing.
“Join the dark side… . We have cake.”
***Now, let’s talk about that bonus epilogue… WHAT. THE. EVER. LOVING. HELL. That’s just mean, Ms. Wylde!***
